Ukraine attacked Russia with drones: Residents of Lipetsk are being evacuated, a state of emergency has been declared
Russian authorities have evacuated residents living in parts of Russia's western Lipetsk region after a "massive attack" by Ukrainian drones caused explosions, blackouts and injured six people, regional governor Igor Artamonov said.
Four villages were evacuated after a state of emergency was declared in the Lipetsk region, Artamonov said, and explosions also went off near a Russian air force military base.
The fire broke out at an air base outside the city of Lipetsk, the Interfax news agency reported, citing local emergency authorities.
Calls on social media to evacuate the entire city were part of Ukraine's psychological warfare campaign, Artamonov added.
The Ukrainian authorities have not yet informed or confirmed that they carried out attacks in the Lipetsk area.
