At the European Championship, which is played in Germany, we see frequent running into the field by the fans, so because of this, UEFA is planning to introduce stricter measures.

Yesterday's match between Portugal and Turkey saw as many as four fans entering the stands, so that got the people at UEFA thinking.

"Additional stricter measures will be taken at the stadiums to prevent such incidents," UEFA said without specifying what exactly the measures were.

However, there are legal consequences for fans.

"Security in the stadiums, on the field and in the premises is a top priority for UEFA, the German Football Association and the organizers of the European Championship. "Each entry to the field without permission means a ban on entry to all EC matches, and there will be additional sanctions," the European House of Football pointed out.
