The blackmailers demanded thousands of euros from the guests of the "Schwaler nest"

We are not connected with the filming, and the police told us not to talk to anyone about the case, said the management of the motel "Villa Uno" for "Free Press". According to them, the case was reported to the police by the injured guests, after footage from the motel rooms appeared on a social network.

"We do not know who is behind the illegal filming in our rooms and we do not know who was filming, and we have received instructions from the police not to talk to anyone," the management of the Villa Uno motel told Sloboden Pecat. They say they are cooperating with the police in order to protect their guests.

Blackmailed athletes and police officers whose intimate meetings in a motel were secretly filmed

As we have learned from our well-informed sources, some of the guests were asked to pay thousands of euros in cryptocurrencies via text messages in exchange for the full recordings not being published.. The reason why the unidentified blackmailer wanted crypto money, and not a meeting where he would be handed cash, was that he did not want to be identified.

So far, the authorities have not discovered the persons who illegally filmed love scenes from the beds in the motel rooms. It is not yet known how much material was illegally provided by the unknown perpetrators.

Visitors to this motel were guaranteed discretion, ie they entered the rooms without leaving an identification document. They drove into the motel, parked in the garage and went straight to the room, but inside someone put mobile phones that recorded intimate meetings from the bed. Some of the videos were then posted on a fake Facebook profile.

There is still no order to close the fake Facebook profile

Compromising recordings of some of the guests were published on a fake internet profile under the name Arben Gashi, in order to scare the blackmailed with the announcements that other recordings of guests from the motel will be published.

Two months after the profile was opened, police did not order it to be deleted. After the interrogation of three people by the Prosecution, this fake profile stopped publishing new recordings, but the guests are still in uncertainty whether their privacy will be violated in order for the blackmail to succeed.

It is not yet known when the filming started in the "Schwaler nest", but it was determined that the recordings were made with cheap and older models of mobile phones.

The scandal was published by "Kod", claiming that some of the recorded persons were blackmailed to pay a racket in cryptocurrencies in order not to publish the videos. The restaurant "Villa Uno" allegedly guaranteed privacy, because the users of the services were not required to provide an identification document upon arrival, nor were there any employees present at the motel.

The motel is located on Kacanicki Pat and is still being advertised on Instagram. According to the information of "Code", an investigation was launched at the end of May, because there were two police officers on the mentioned Facebook profile on the videos. The last announcement is from June 8.

The institutions are silent for now

About three weeks ago, police and prosecutors questioned three people, one of whom was employed by the motel. A search warrant was searched for two apartments, computers and phones of the suspects were confiscated, but nothing was found. During the interrogation, all three denied involvement, and on their computers and mobile phones that were confiscated, no evidence of indictment was found. The Prosecutor's Office informed "Free Press" that they did not receive any reports from the victims regarding the illegal recording and violation of privacy related to this case.

The Economic and Computer Crime Unit at the SIA Skopje told us that they are taking measures in cooperation with the Criminal Police Department at the Public Security Bureau. Submissions were submitted to the Public Prosecutor's Office Skopje in accordance with the Law on Criminal Procedure. The Ministry of Interior did not answer why the cybercrime unit did not close a Facebook account for two months with a fake name Arben Gashi, on which the illegal recordings were published.
