Two young Kosovans who entered the "Ilinden" barracks were arrested

Two young Kosovar citizens were arrested yesterday in the vicinity of the "Ilinden" barracks, due to suspicion that they entered a military facility without authorization, the Ministry of the Interior announced.

"On 05.10.2022 at 17.30:350 p.m. on "Nikola Karev" Blvd. in Skopje, near the "Ilinden" barracks, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of a crime committed under Article 29 of the Criminal Code, police officers from the Karposh Police Station from freedom JK (25) and Sh.E. (XNUMX), both from Kosovo. They were detained at the Karposh Police Station for further proceedings," said the brief police statement, which did not reveal more details.

Depending on whether it will be established that the Kosovars just entered the barracks or that they entered and tried to record or take pictures, they are threatened with a fine, up to three years in prison. The crime they are suspected of is Unauthorized entry into military facilities and making sketches or drawings of military facilities and combat equipment:
(1) Whoever, for the purpose of reconnaissance, enters a military facility without authorization even though he knew that access is prohibited, will be punished with a fine or
imprisonment for up to one year.
(2) He who unauthorizedly makes sketches or drawings of military objects or combat equipment or photographs them, i.e. records them in another way,
shall be punished with a fine or imprisonment for up to three years.
