The famous Greek author of novels for children and young people, Vassilis Papatheodorou, is under investigation by the Greek prosecutor's office, after videos of child pornography were found in his archive.

An incredible story about the 53-year-old author, who has won numerous awards for his children's literary works, was published by the Greek media "Prototheme".

After an investigation that lasted more than a month, the Greek prosecutor's office discovered more than 100 videos with child pornography in his files. He was arrested in the Greek city of Tripoli, trying to leave the country.

The case is assessed by the police as extremely serious, as their connections with the industry behind child pornography are being investigated, while the possibility is being considered whether, in addition to downloading the disgusting material, the accused had other activities related to it.

The arrest was made through the program of the Greek police to deal with the phenomenon of child pornography, after using information received from foreign authorities, with the help of international police cooperation.

After a detailed and thorough online investigation, a user was identified, in Greek territory, who gained access to various websites, applications and possessed files suitable for the distribution of material for the sexual abuse of minors.
