Former Croatian MP arrested and Olympic medalist arrested: He raped the victim, and then threatened her (VIDEO)
Damir Skaro, a former Croatian HDZ lawmaker who won an Olympic boxing medal, has been arrested on charges of rape by an employee of the Auto Club Sziget.
Zagreb lawyer Morana Rabar said Skaro was reported by a doctor to whom the victim had told her she had been raped in early August. The victim later reported Shkaro for threats.
Rabar said that in that case she was hired to help the victim and the state prosecutor's office, which expects to prosecute Skaro because it is a crime.
"Shkaro was arrested on Wednesday, the police informed the victim because they are obliged to do so," Rabar said, adding that the rape took place on a Saturday in early August.
