The former director of the state company "Electrani na Severna Macedonia" (ESM), Vasko Stefanov, who is one of the suspects in today's action by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office for the Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption (OJO GOKK), has been detained after he was previously unavailable for the law enforcement authorities in the country announced "360 degrees".

He was allegedly found in a neighboring country and during the day he returned to the country, most likely, say the sources of "360 degrees", after learning that he was wanted in criminal proceedings. For now, the exact number of detainees is not known, given that the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the GOKK PJSC have not yet released details about the action.

Of the more famous names that are mentioned, Stefanov's predecessor in the position of ESM director, Vasko Kovacevski, is still unavailable for the investigation. Information about him says that he is in a member state of the European Union.

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski confirmed today that Kovacevski was not arrested and that he is outside the country, who said that he expects the ex-director of ESM to be secured and returned to the country soon. According to the prime minister, 23 people were arrested in the police action.

Regarding the crime being investigated, Mickoski said that according to the information he received from the Minister Pance Toshkovski and the director of the Bureau of Public Security Aleksandar Janev, it is a well-organized group of senior representatives of the company and persons who manage other companies.

Among the suspects, according to still unofficial information, are the former director of TPP "Negotino", Nebojsa Stojanovic, the former director of REK "Bitola", Pece Matevski, as well as the commercial director of Power Plants of North Macedonia, Ardian Mucha.
