The Istrian police arrested a 59-year-old Danish citizen on suspicion of filming naked children with a mini-camera in a pen, thus committing the crime of exploitation of children for pornography, they announced Croatian media.

The police in Rovinj conducted a criminal investigation and established a suspicion that a 59-year-old Danish citizen committed a crime of exploiting children for pornography. On August 1, around 18:50, he was found by security at a tourist facility in the Rovinj area, filming naked children with a mini camera in a pen.

The police officers arrested the man and, based on the order of the competent court, searched the facility where he was staying and the vehicle he was using, and confiscated his laptop and USB sticks, on which incriminating contents were found.

After the completion of the criminal investigation, the suspect was taken to the detention unit of the Istra police station on Friday evening.
