Turkey condemns the Israeli army's incursion into the buffer zone and Syrian territory
The Israeli army's incursion into Syria is advancing about 25 kilometers southwest of the capital Damascus, two regional security sources told Reuters today.
A Syrian security source said Israeli troops had reached Qatana, located 10 kilometers into Syrian territory east of the demilitarized zone that separates the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights from Syria.

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said today that it strongly condemns the entry of the Israeli army into the buffer zone between Israel and Syria and its alleged advance on Syrian territory.
"Israel is once again showing its occupation mentality," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement, Reuters reports.

The Israeli army today rejected allegations that its forces had entered Syrian territory outside the buffer zone with the Golan Heights that it holds under occupation.
"That is not true, the forces have not left the buffer zone," said an Israeli army spokesman, Reuters reported.
