Freud's trick: If someone tries to humiliate you, just say this word

Sigmund Freud he thought that it was enough for an evil person who wants to hurt you to say just this word to him, and that in a calm way.

Freud certainly knew how to recognize bad people, however, this did not help him find happiness in marriage himself. However, his advice on how to deal with envious and mean people must be heeded.

Humans are emotional beings and often criticism, judgments or insults from other people can lead us to despair, discomfort and destroy our self-esteem. You should accept constructive criticism from a close person you trust, but insults in communication can be poisonous arrows. The person who insults you has only one mission, to hurt you.

Freud said: "A strong person never takes the burden of other people's statements." How to actually deal with insults and bad behavior?

Do not enter into a conflict, but tell "yes" to any negative assumption, with a calm expression on his face. The power of a calm "yes" is able to dissolve any psychological pressure, because you simply deprive the person of the opportunity to offend you with something and do not defend yourself, proving the opposite, but simply devalue each of his attacks, depriving the enemy of his goal .

In addition to the magical "yes", to protect yourself from insults, it is important to develop self-respect. Don't let your peace depend on external judgments. Healthy self-esteem is an assessment of oneself, and an opinion about oneself is a value judgment, often superficial and which does not tend to the best goals, but the mission can be belittling, presenting in a more favorable light than the other person and insults.

Freud said: "If all people evaluated only themselves and did not concern themselves with the evaluation of others, rudeness would die out as a phenomenon."

Besides these, the only real way to protect yourself from people who tend to offend is to distance yourself from them completely. Respect yourself – don't let toxic people steal your energy. Surround yourself with positive people who love, respect and support you, because you deserve it!
