Three medals for Macedonian kickboxers at the European Championship for cadets and juniors

The Macedonian kickboxing team participated in The European Championship for cadets and juniors in Istanbul, Turkey with six kickboxers. As many as 1640 competitors from 38 European countries took part in this prestigious kickboxing competition.

- The Agency for Youth and Sports always stands behind successful, especially young athletes and will be a wind behind their support and high achievements in senior competition as well - said the director of the Agency for Youth and Sports, Naumche Mojsovski.

Our kickboxing team returned with three medals, two silver and one bronze.

In the final fight, Silvio Mirovski lost to the Greek competitor, Efstachiadis Christos and was left without the desired gold medal, satisfied with the silver, because in the semi-finals and the final Silvio fought against two world champions.

The young Macedonian kickboxer Marija Dimovska, a member of the kickboxing club Energy from Bitola, is the new European junior vice-champion, bringing Macedonia a silver medal.

Dimovska lost to the Serbian Sonja Vuksic in the final of the championship. Turker Ismail, on the other hand, won a bronze medal at the championship after losing to Ukrainian Nikita Tertishnyi 0:3 in the semi-finals.
