The US trade deficit widened to $90,2 billion in January

The US trade deficit rose 2,6 percent month-on-month in January.

The Ministry of Trade published the January data on trade.

According to the latest data, the trade deficit rose to 90,2 billion dollars in January.

In the specified period, the export of goods increased by 0,2 percent to 170,4 billion dollars, and the import of goods by 1,1 percent to 260,6 billion dollars.

The market expected that the deficit of goods in this period will amount to 88,4 billion dollars.

The trade deficit in December last year was 87,9 billion dollars.
