Trump hopes to win North Carolina – early projections show Harris leading

As Donald Trump's team awaits results in North Carolina, a source close to the former president says they did everything to win. However, initial information shows that Harris is leading in this state. CNN reports that so far, Harris has won 51.8% and Trump 47.2%.

Initially, North Carolina was not part of Trump's travel plans for the final weekend before the election, but internal agreement within the Republican Party indicated that the campaign needed an additional boost.

North Carolina gave Trump his narrowest victory of 2020. It was one of the only states where his endorsed candidate won a Senate seat in 2022, and he chose Michael Whatley to chair the Republican National Committee in part because he believed Whatley helped him in that election.
