Trajanov: Associations with names are unacceptable for Macedonians, they must be changed
The leader of the Democratic Union, Pavle Trayanov, in tonight's guest appearance on "Hot Political Summer" on Channel 5, said that the government is the one that should open the issue of not having a register of names that cannot be used in the registration of Citizens' Associations and other organizations.
"I think that the responsibility lies with the state institutions that allow the registration of associations of citizens with different names that are absolutely not acceptable to the citizens, to the public, because they are former collaborators of Hitler, of fascism, or, at the time, they held high positions state functions in Bulgaria," he said.
As Trajanov stated, it is a strategy, well thought out by Bulgaria, which practically tests the public opinion of the citizens of Macedonia and believes that this issue must be resolved.
"The government has no one to tell. That question should be opened, resolved, if legal changes should be made. In any case, those associations that are registered now with the names Tsar Boris the Third, further Vancho Mihailov, Ferdinand, should be well studied from all aspects and a change of names should be requested. I think that the legal regulation should be in order not to understand that we are working against the rights of the Bulgarians in Macedonia, which is absolutely not true. These are classic provocations towards our country, towards the Macedonian people. It has to stop. The state should cut it off at the root," Trajanov explains.
He adds that "all these associations will have to change their names if we want to be a democratic state and respect all aspects and values of the EU or as a whole as human values".
When asked if the appearance of these associations was an attempt or preparation for inserting the Bulgarians into the constitution, the leader of the DS answered that it was nothing like that, but classic provocations.
