Tose Proeski received a monument in Croatia near the place where he tragically lost his life
A monument to the legendary Tose Proeski was unveiled in Nova Gradiska today. The solemn unveiling of the monument to the sculptor Slavko Bunic was attended by Milaim Fetai, the Ambassador of Northern Macedonia, the Mayor of Nova Gradiska, Vinko Grgic and the Mayor of Krushevo, Tome Hristovski, Croatian "Vecernji List" writes.
Mayor Grgic said that an accident made two peoples, Macedonian and Croatian, and two municipalities, Krusevo and Nova Gradiska, meet and cooperate thanks to the songs of the popular Macedonian pop singer, Tose Proeski.
"What connects us with Nova Gradiska is the tragedy of the singer and our fellow citizen Tose Proeski. But together we are all his fans now and before his death. Let us strive to continue his work, and that is good deeds, love and tolerance. Tose will live in our memories forever. Long live our friendship, long live the memory of Tose through this monument. "Glory to him." said Hristovski.
The leading thought was that the stone figure of Tosha reminds us of the time when we rejoiced and enjoyed together the songs that are eternal and that we all remember his words:
"Love, tolerance and living our lives as if we live a million years, it makes us human."
