The President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, said today that the hate speech directed at boxers Iman Khelief from Algeria and Lin Ju Ting from Taiwan is completely unacceptable.

"We will not participate in a politically motivated ... cultural war," Bach told reporters in Paris.

In recent days, one of the main topics of the Olympic Games is Halif and Lin and their gender is being discussed.

Heliffe and Lin were disqualified from the World Championships in India last year after the International Boxing Federation said their gender results were indeterminate but failed to provide documentation.

The Italian woman regrets her move, wants to hug the boxer from Algeria

– We have two boxers who were born as women, who were raised as women, who have passports as women and have been competing as women for years. Some want to own the definition of what a woman is - said Bach.

Heliffe and Lin competed at the Tokyo Games and did not win medals. Heliffe advanced to the second round of the Olympic tournament in Paris after Italy's Angela Carini surrendered the fight to her after 46 seconds.
