After today's summit on Ukraine, Tirana will host another important event tomorrow, the Western Balkans – European Union summit.

"The regional summit is dedicated to the plan for growth and convergence with a focus on the integration of the Western Balkans to the European Union, as well as the implementation of the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans. This summit will also provide new opportunities to exchange opinions on the European future of the region and on common regional challenges, Albanian media reported.

The focus will be on the package of funds of six billion euros that the European Union will distribute in the form of aid, loans and grants for specific projects, for the six countries of the region.

Unlike today's summit where Kosovo was represented by President Vjosa Osmani, none of the leaders of official Pristina will come to Tirana for tomorrow's meeting.

"Although it was speculated that there would be a duel between Aleksandar Vucic and Albin Kurti, and perhaps a meeting mediated by Prime Minister Edi Rama, the name of the head of the Kosovo government is not on the list of participants announced by the Prime Minister's office. Another absence is that of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, as Brussels seems to have chosen to be represented by the Commissioner for Enlargement, Oliver Varhei, who is already in Tirana, the media reports.

They especially emphasize the fact that Talat Xhaferi will be part of an important summit for the first time as the Prime Minister of North Macedonia.

The presence of Aleksandar Vucic, President of Serbia, Milojko Spajic, Prime Minister of Montenegro, Borjana Kristo, President of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as other representatives of organizations including Majlinda Bregu, Secretary General of the Council for regional cooperation.
