A teenage girl (16) from Australia died after being attacked by a shark in a river. According to CNN, the girl was attacked while swimming in the Swan River. According to the police, she jumped into the water to swim with the dolphins that were nearby. Police pulled her out of the river and tried to save her life, but she died at the scene.

It is not known what type of shark attacked the girl, but local media reports that it may have been a bull shark, which normally lives in most rivers around Australia. This type of shark can also live in fresh waters, so it often enters rivers.

"The mouth of the Swan River is good habitat for sharks and that means people can come into close contact with them. "Unfortunately, some encounters end badly and in this case with a tragic outcome," says Andrew Chin from James Cook University.
