On removal of last night's blockades caused by thugs who obviously wanted to cause chaos, "Tikves" today continued with the purchase of grapes from those subcontractors who according to the established dynamics were planned and were called to deliver the grapes during yesterday, the company said. 

- We emphasize once again that "Tikves" is the only winery in the country that this year defined the highest price, respected the agreed purchase price of Vranec of 13 denars per kilogram and 11 denars for Smederevo and committed to buy the largest amount of grapes so far. At the same time, "Tikves" was the first winery to announce in the most transparent way the prices and conditions under which it will buy the grapes, stating exactly the level of quality of the grapes it will buy, reads their statement.

The winery remains committed to make no compromise with the quality of the grapes it buys, because it protects the interest of those over 2100 growers with whom Tikvesh has already signed contracts, and who have fulfilled them with hard work. grape quality standards that guarantee a much higher price.

- The dissatisfied five to six individuals who blocked the entrance to the winery last night and thus hindered the purchase, and whose grapes did not meet the minimum quality criteria necessary for wine production, were offered by the management of "Tikves" to be undertaken for processing into wine distillate, where they were offered an appropriate price of eight denars per kilogram that would cover their basic costs. Nevertheless, such an offer was rejected by them. Previously, exactly those individuals tried to manipulate the quality of the grapes they brought for purchase, which was of much lower quality and sugar than the samples, which according to the established practice, they had previously brought for inspection, are decided by the company.

They believe that the purpose of such manipulations with the standards and rules is the fulfillment of certain personal and political interests.

-Unfortunately, in this game the biggest victims are the real growers, those who respect all standards and agreements, work diligently and produce quality grapes and who, by individuals and people who have nothing to do with real viticulture and to whom it's is only a hobby and a means to achieve other goals, they were prevented from handing over their grapes and getting the real value for it, said "Tikves".

They say that despite all the obstructions from individuals and politically motivated groups, "Tikves" will remain consistent in fulfilling its long-term development strategy based on partnership with real growers, by respecting world quality standards and market rules and mechanisms. .
