The Macedonian women's junior national team on the first competition day of European Under-18 Championship ("Division B") in Sofia (Bulgaria) lost with 94:27 from Portugal.

A few mistakes early in the game cost us our concentration for most of the first quarter. So, our basketball players in the national colors on the court in Sofia could not find a way to the opponent's basket until the basketball players from the opposite camp stopped us by filling "our net".

The difference was already in double digits (13:0) when we scored the first points. By the end of the first part of the game, our opponent skillfully punished our mistakes, which resulted in a high 29-point advantage for the "home team" at the break (41:12).

In the second part of the match, we showed a better game, but we did not manage to equalize with the Portuguese team.

Maria Nikolov with nine points she was the most successful in our camp. Evgenija Tanascoska followed with five points, Mihaela Aleksovska scored one less. Martina Markoska and Ana Milovanova scored three points each, and Anastasia Todorova also entered the list of scorers with two, that is, Klimentina Modeva with one point.
