Personality test: Your favorite color reveals your personality code!
Most of us have heard of the four personality types according to Hippocrates: sanguine, melancholic, choleric and phlegmatic. The characterization of the father of medicine from the 5th century BC is still valid, but… it is not the only one. An interesting alternative is the so-called “Four Color Test”.

The author of this test is Dr. Taylor Hartman, who in 1987 wrote the book "The Color Code - Color-Coded Personality Types", in which he first described his method. In the following years, he refined it and promoted it all over the world. Today, his test is used by therapists, psychologists and employment specialists, it says "sensa".
Hartmann's method allows for the determination of four types of temperament, which correspond to the following colors: red, blue, white, and yellow.
To find out what type we are, we need to take a special test or read the characteristics of each color. A natural question arises: what will this knowledge bring us? Well, it can be very useful both professionally and personally. When we get to know the specifics of our personality, we will be able to develop and strengthen our strengths and work on our weaknesses.
The four-color test is also used in career planning – “reds” will make excellent leaders, while “whites” are perfect as freelancers. Hartman’s method is also worth applying in teamwork. When we determine the temperament of our boss and colleagues, we will communicate more effectively with them.
But this knowledge can also help us in private interpersonal relationships. It is sometimes used in therapy for couples who have problems with communication and reaching consensus. It can also be applied to friendships – it will be easier to give advice to a friend if we know her personality type. We can also take the test together and talk about how “our” color is reflected in specific behaviors or attitudes.
Here are some pretty detailed characteristics of all four colors. Read carefully and see which personality type you are closest to.
