The thematic exhibition "Contemporary Sculpture" of DLUM will be staged in "Art Hub" in GTC

The exhibition "Contemporary Sculpture" consists of 22 works by 19 authors

The exhibition titled "Contemporary Sculpture" of the Society of Fine Artists of Macedonia (DLUM) will be opened on March 23 (Thursday) 2023, in the Art Hub Art Center (GTC, 2nd floor, room 306) in Skopje, starting at 20 p.m.

This DLUM exhibition is part of the program activities and is an opportunity for a group presentation of newer research and ideas within the framework of contemporary sculpture. Artists explore and experiment through form and expression, and their creative adventures materialize through the final shape of the idea.

The classic use of materials in the casting process (bronze, aluminum), metal shaping (stainless steel), combined techniques in metal, wire, marble and wood processing, but also concrete, plastic, textiles, ready-made objects, environmental access to recycling and other materials.

The exhibition consists of 22 works by 19 authors: Gordana Petrova, Dimitar Filipovski, Nela Jankovska, Stefan Jakimovski, Slobodan Milosheski, Stefan Anchevski, Ozbet Aivaz, Marjana Kostojchinovska Uzuncheva, Zlatko Bojkovski, Angel Dimovski Chaus, Tanja Miljoska, Dusan Gjorgievski, Nenad Tonkin, Sinisha Noveski, Sasho Sazdovski, Maya Taneva, Nikola Smilkov.

In honor of the "Boro Mitrićeski" award, a work by one of the doyens of contemporary sculpture, Boro Mitrićeski, has been installed, and the selection also includes a work by the ceramist Boro Novakovski.

Every year, the Mitrićeski family awards a prize for the best sculpture, which will be announced at the opening of the exhibition.

The exhibition will be opened by the president of DLUM, Jana Maneva-Chuposka, and it is realized with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and in cooperation with the Art Center "Art Hub" in GTC.

All art lovers will be able to see the exhibition until April 1, 2023, during the gallery's working hours from 11 a.m. to 18 p.m., reports from DLUM.
