The bodies of another 50 victims of the crimes in Srebrenica will be buried next week in the Memorial Center in Potočari

- The bodies of another 50 victims of the crime committed against Bosniaks in Srebrenica in July 1995 will be buried next week, as part of the commemoration organized on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the fall of Srebrenica.

The central commemoration and burial of identified bodies found over the years in one of the many mass graves will take place on July 11, when Bosnian Serb forces led by General Ratko Mladic captured Srebrenica, followed by mass executions of prisoners.

It is estimated that more than eight thousand Bosniak men and boys were liquidated in the days after the fall of Srebrenica, for which Mladic was sentenced to life in prison, as was the political leader of the Bosnian Serbs, Radovan Karadzic.

"So far, 6.671 people have been identified and buried, not including these 50. The coffins are ready and each one has a plate made of permanent, indestructible material with information about the identification", said Sabina Rastoder, spokeswoman for the City Cemetery in "Dnevni Avaz" newspaper. High.

The oldest victim whose remains will be buried next week in the complex of the Memorial Center in Potocari is Huseyin Krdzic, born in 1936, and there are also three minors among the victims.

The ossuary in Tuzla holds the remains of 92 identified victims from Srebrenica, but their family members have not yet given their consent for burial. They hope that other parts of the bodies of the murdered will be found.

There were cases where only one bone of a crime victim was buried because the rest of the body parts could not be discovered. It is a consequence of the excavation of the primary graves carried out on the orders of the authorities of the Bosnian Serbs, who tried to cover up the traces of the crimes committed.
