The hero of Italy from the World Cup in 1990, the legendary Salvatore "Toto" Schillaci died today at the age of 59 after a long battle with cancer.

Skilacci experienced the greatest fame at the aforementioned World Cup when the "Auras" finished in third place thanks to his goals. At that World Cup, with six scored goals, Skilacci was the top scorer.

About a week ago, the former striker of Inter and Juventus was taken to the hospital due to worsening condition, where unfortunately the doctors failed to save his life.

"Goodbye Toto Schillaci, the striker from the magical evenings has left", with these words "Gazetta dello Sport" said goodbye to the famous goal scorer.
