Residents of the Land of the Rising Sun have the longest life expectancy in the world. Women live an average of 81 years, and men 78 years. Japanese people don't get fat easily. Japan has the lowest percentage of heart attacks, strokes and malignant diseases, the lowest mortality from the coronavirus...

It's not just genes that are crucial, because when they move to the west, they get sick more often, just like westerners. The secret to good health and a long life is in diet.

The diet of the inhabitants of Japan is balanced, nutritious and low-calorie, based on fish and seafood. Fish is rich in iodine and omega-3 fatty acids.

Iodine is an essential mineral for maintaining good health. As a basic element of thyroid hormones, it affects most metabolic processes in the body and is necessary for normal growth and development of all cells and tissues.

Dr. David Derry said that iodine is the best antibiotic and antiviral agent. In the context of the fact that most diseases either start or continue with inflammation caused by bacteria and viruses, then this is important information. Namely, every 17 minutes the blood recirculates through the tissue of the thyroid gland, in which, if there is a sufficient amount of iodine, bacteria and viruses will be destroyed.

The human body cannot store iodine, so it is necessary to ingest it daily.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that an adult consume approx 150 micrograms of iodine to meet the daily needs for iodine, but the preventive effect is achieved only by consuming larger amounts. There is no danger of taking too much iodine, because we should not forget that people in Japan consume 12 milligrams of iodine per day, which is ten times more than the WHO recommendations.

The best sources of iodine are seaweed and marine fish. Let's follow the example of the Japanese! Let's increase the intake of iodine through food and water!
