Thailand: 50.000 liters of oil spilled from an underwater pipeline

On the beach in the east of Thailand has been declared a zone of environmental disaster, after oil spilled from an underwater pipe and the sand turned black.

About 50.000 liters of oil leaked into the ocean.

Some of the oil reached the coast yesterday, expanding to 47 square kilometers.

Members of the Thai Navy are talking to the company that owns the pipeline to repair the damage.
