The European Court of Human Rights has found Russia responsible for the 2006 assassination of Alexander Litvinenko, who died after being poisoned in London with polonium-210, a rare radioactive isotope. Litvinenko, 43, a former FSB officer, fled Russia to Britain six years before being poisoned and died after drinking.
