Thaci and Veseli remain in custody in The Hague on war crimes charges

The specialized councils for crimes of the Kosovo Liberation Army in The Hague extended the detention of the former leaders of that organization, Kadri Veseli and Hashim Thaci, accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity, Reporters writes today.

The detention of former KLA leaders Yakup Krasniqi and Redzep Selimi, who have been in custody in The Hague for two years on charges of war crimes, has been extended.

The reasons for extending this measure are the risk of flight and the possibility of influencing witnesses, the court in The Hague said.
