WHO: More than 817.000 newly infected with coronavirus in 24 hours

More than half of the new cases were detected in Southeast Asia, including India (423.364). 205.327 were confirmed in North and South America and 124.715 in Europe.

More than 817.000 people infected with the coronavirus have been registered in the last 24 hours worldwide, and about 13.400 people have died, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced last night.

More than half of the new cases were detected in Southeast Asia, including India (423.364). 205.327 were confirmed in North and South America and 124.715 in Europe.

The highest number of cases was registered in the United States, more than 32 million, followed by India with almost 22 million infected and Brazil, where 15 million cases were confirmed.
