WHO: Over 360 million people worldwide are infected with covid-19

The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in the world exceeded 360 million, and the number of deaths - 5,62 million, said World Health Organization. According to the data published last night, 360.578.392 have been registered infected and 5.620.865 dead so far.

In the past 24 hours, the number of patients has increased by 3.395.352, and the number of deaths by 10.176. A record for the entire period of the Covid-19 pandemic was registered on January 26, when 24 new infections were identified in 3.962.990 hours. WHO statistics take into account only officially confirmed information on infected and dead people provided by countries.

The United States has the highest number of confirmed cases - 71.812.665, followed by India (40.371.500), Brazil (24.311.317), France (17.252.793) and the United Kingdom (16.149.323). The United States reported the highest number of deaths - 866.039, followed by Brazil (623.843) and India (491.700), Russia (328.770) and Mexico (303.776).
