The World Food Program (WFP) has said that the ability to supply civilians in Gaza with basic needs is on the verge of collapse amid the ongoing war with Israel.

- There is not enough food. People are starving. The situation is unsustainable. We need to bring in our reserves, VFP Deputy Director Carl Skau wrote last night to "X", after visiting the closed coastal belt.

He added that there is a shortage of fuel and no one is safe. Thousands of desperate, hungry people crowded the distribution centers for humanitarian aid.

According to Skau, with the breakdown of law and order, any meaningful humanitarian operation is impossible.
