Supermodel Bella Hadid quit drinking because she had trouble controlling herself - after seeing a brain scan of the effects of alcohol, it made it "much harder for her to raise a glass again."

In a recent interview with InStyle, the model talked about participating in Dry January and her soft drink brand Kin Euphoric. The 25-year-old co-founded Kin Euphorics with Jen Butchelor and announced the brand in September 2021.

"I had my fair share of drinking. "I wanted alcohol and it got to the point where even I started giving up on nights I felt I could not control," Hadid said.

Hadid said she once had a brain scan by her doctor, who is also one of Keane's medical advisers, and saw the effects of alcohol on her brain. She told InStyle that the experience made it "much harder to raise the glass".

Hadid, who has been sober since mid-2021, told the media that she does not think she will return to alcohol in the foreseeable future.

"I do not feel the need because I know how it will affect me at 3 o'clock in the morning when I wake up with terrible anxiety thinking about what I said five years ago when I finished high school," Hadid said.

"It just has this endless effect of, you know, pain and stress because of those few drinks that really didn't do much, you know?" She continued.

Hadid was previously arrested for driving under the influence of 17 years in 2014. People reported that Hadid had served six months of probation, 25 hours of community service, 20 hours of meetings with anonymous alcoholics and had her license suspended for one year.

Hadid was very sincere about her journey with mental health.

This month, Hadid told WSJ magazine that she had not used a stylist for "maybe two years" and had struggled to get dressed in the morning because of anxiety.

"I was in such a strange place mentally that it was really complicated for me to get out of the house and put on clothes, especially because of the anxiety of the paparazzi being out and all that," she said.

In November 2021, Hadid shared photos of himself crying in an Instagram post, talking personally and directly about the fight against anxiety without restraint.

"This is almost my everyday life, every night for several years. Social networks are not real. For anyone struggling, please remember that. Sometimes all you need to hear is that you are not alone. So, from me to you, you are not alone. I love you, I see you. "I'm listening to you," she wrote.
