Strasbourg court rejects Orce Kamchev's request, businessman remains in custody
The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in Strasbourg rejected the request of Orce Kamchev's legal team to impose a temporary measure on the country, under which he will be placed under house arrest and will undergo a medical examination by a cardiologist due to his deteriorating health.
This actually means that the ECtHR refused to order the state to release Kamchev under house arrest and for him to be examined by a cardiologist.
The government agent of the State Representation Bureau before the ECtHR, Danica Jonova, in a statement to MIA, confirmed that the request for a temporary measure against the state for Kamchev was rejected.
Kamchev's legal team has repeatedly warned that they have medical notes from cardiologists from the country and abroad, which indicate that he belongs to a group of patients at high risk of death due to cardiovascular problems. Based on those notes, Kamchev's defense submitted a request to the ECtHR.
Kamchev has been in custody for several months as a defendant in the "Plots on Vodno" case, which is in the evidentiary procedure.
