Stoltenberg welcomed the ratification by the Turkish Parliament of Finland's accession to NATO

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg last night welcomed the Turkish Parliament's ratification of Finland's membership in the alliance, saying it would make "the NATO family stronger and safer," French media reported.

"I welcome the vote of the Turkish Parliament to complete the ratification of Finland's membership. It will make the entire NATO family stronger and safer," the NATO Secretary General wrote on his Twitter account.

With Turkey's decision last night, Finland's application for membership in the Alliance has already been approved by all 30 member states.
