Stoltenberg: The alliance should discuss security guarantees for Ukraine after the war
NATO must discuss options to give Ukraine security guarantees for the period after the war with Russia, the Secretary General of the Alliance said today Jens Stoltenberg.
"When the war is over, NATO will have to have options ready to ensure that Russia does not simply regroup its forces for another attack," Stoltenberg told a news briefing in Brussels.
At the same time, he made it clear that NATO – according to Article 5 of the Washington Treaty – will provide full security guarantees only to full members.
