The mathematical genius Stefan Mandel managed to win the lottery 14 times.

He lived a difficult life in Romania during the 60s and tried his best to move to the West. His monthly salary was $ 88, so the only way to raise money was to cheat in the lottery, but without breaking the law.

The mathematician spent many years researching how to achieve his goal, eventually deriving an algorithm for dialing numbers based on a method he called Combinatorial Compression. Using this method, Stefan found that he could accurately determine 5/6 winning numbers, which reduced the number of possible lotto combinations to "just" a few thousand, from the previous several million.

He took a risk with his friends and bought a huge number of lottery tickets in which he entered the combination of his formula and won a prize. The jackpot was .15.000 3.000, and after paying all the costs, he had about околу XNUMX left.

That was enough for him to start a new life outside the country and try the formula again. He managed to convince several investors to invest money and build lotto syndicates. He invented a system in which computers fill in slips with all possible combinations.

He has won 12 major prizes and thousands of smaller prizes across Australia and the UK. He founded a company in Virginia, employed 16 people to print tickets for him, and again won the jackpot and many smaller prizes.

From the strong desire for this "lottomania" Stefan went bankrupt in 1995, and then spent 20 years in prison in Israel for fraud. All US states have since introduced laws banning the use of Stefan's strategy.
