Old photo processes will return with the festival of alternative photography "Zrno"

The first festival of alternative photography "Zrno" will be announced with the photo exhibition "Let's grow together!", which will be opened on July 4, in the sales hall of the Cultural and Information Center - Skopje, starting at 20 p.m.

Several alternative authors will be presented at the exhibition. Kathy Talevska – Bakrevska, with her lumen prints. Victoria Mackovska with authentic cyanotypes. Martina Pavloska, with her cheerful polaroids. And Sasho Alushevski, with cyanotypes from the "Pictorialism" cycle. The equipment of the exhibition belongs to Vlado Dimoski.

- The "Zrno" festival sprouted from the inherent need to nurture the colorfulness of our favorite medium and as a resistance to the hardened view of photography in our country. "Zrno" is called a festival, because it wants to celebrate photography, in all its playful forms. "Zrno" is an initiative of several photo enthusiasts who want to celebrate alternative photography, old processes in photography and its irreplaceable beauty. "Zrno" wants to play the domestic scene and provoke the world. To make him slow down, to think. To touch. To accept the game, to open up to the "mistakes". To smile. To rethink himself. To breathe… so we can… grow together! - emphasize the organizers of the festival.

As part of the work program of the first edition of the "Zrno" festival, workshops for alternative photography will take place in Matka, near Skopje, in which about twenty lovers of the noble photographic processes from the region will participate.
