At today's session, the Government of Serbia passed a conclusion adopting a package of legal and economic-social measures aimed at protecting the rights of Serbs and vital state and national interests in Kosovo, an operational plan for the implementation of certain measures in the social-economic area, as well as The Ministry of Defense should initiate a procedure for mandatory military service.

- The measures imply a strong diplomatic campaign by all state authorities for protection and the struggle to respect the rights of the Serbian people in the territory of Kosovo, which are threatened by the unilateral and violent moves of Albin Kurti, which is why it is necessary to return to the status quo, as a basis for respecting all the achievements of the dialogue, the Government announcement states.

The set of measures also includes strong financial support for the Serbian people in the area of ​​Kosovo, through the allocation of 20.000 dinars (about 10.000 denars) per month for 5.000 unemployed and the most socially vulnerable beneficiaries, free textbooks for all children, allowance for snacks for children in preschool education, basic and secondary schools, new jobs, infrastructure projects in the form of construction and adaptation of new houses for the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, are aimed at systemic support for the sustainable survival of the Serbian people in these areas.

- In order to protect the vital national interests of the Serbian people in the province, a Special Prosecutor's Office will be established to prosecute abuses and violations of basic human rights, usurpation of property, threats to the physical integrity and dignity of Serbian citizens of Kosovo and Metohija, it is stated. in the announcement of the Government.

The decision that was adopted today at the session of the Government of Serbia confirmed the position on the resistance of the Serbian institutions in the area of ​​Kosovo and Metohija, which will not be extinguished, as well as the decision on the illegality of all bodies and institutions established on the territory of Kosovo after the illegal unilateral declaration of independence and the non-existence of all their acts that have been passed or will be passed.

The package of measures and the operational plan are binding for all state administration bodies, government offices, all officials, as well as for negotiators from the Serbian side in the Dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

The members of the Government also brought a conclusion ordering the Ministry of Defense to start the procedure for returning the mandatory military service for a duration of 75 days.
