Maricic-Gere Meeting: EU Supports Judicial Reform

The Minister of Justice Bojan Maricic and the EU Ambassador David Gere met today to discuss the legislative agenda of the Ministry of Justice with an emphasis on the talks on the amendments to the Electoral Code, the Ministry of Justice announced.
Minister Maricic stated that he was satisfied with the constructiveness of the talks on amending the Electoral Code and pointed out that an agreement in principle had been reached to fulfill the OSCE and ODIHR recommendations.
During the meeting, Maricic received support and encouragement from EU Ambassador Gere, who assessed that the work of the Ministry of Justice so far is in the right direction and that the dynamics of reforms are good.
Minister Maricic stressed that the Ministry of Justice will continue with a strong pace of realization of the legislative agenda, regardless of the current developments on our European integration path
