Serbia on the invasion of the Kosovo police in "Posta Serbia": The goal is to persecute the Serbs in the north of Kosovo

The Ministry of Information and Telecommunications of Serbia condemned today's "invasion" of the Kosovo Police in several units of the postal network of the Public Enterprise "Post Serbia" in the north of Kosovo and Metohija.

- This is another example of the demonstration of open force and illegal actions of the provisional institutions of self-government in Pristina, whose goal is the permanent persecution of the remaining Serbian and other non-Albanian people in the area of Kosovo and Metohija. ", said the Ministry's announcement.

The ministry states that it expects "relevant international actors to react as soon as possible and protect the basic human and civil rights of the Serbian and other non-Albanian population in the area of Kosovo and Metohija".

The director of the Office of the Government of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, said that today's action by the Kosovo police, which entered all the facilities of "Post Serbia" in northern Kosovo, as well as the premises of the treasury of the Postal Savings Bank in Leposavic - is "illegal".

- In this way, Kurti is directly causing a military conflict and it is obvious that he wants to cause conflicts on the ground at any cost, and all this in front of the international community, Petkovic assesses in the written statement.

He added that this action by Pristina was carried out in violation of the 2015 telecommunications agreement, which stated that all postal service issues would be resolved exclusively through dialogue.

According to him, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, after abolishing the dinar and closing the branches of the Postal Savings Bank, "attacked the functioning of the Post of Serbia, wanting to leave the Serbs without any means of living, and the workers on the street."

- Let the international community come to their senses, because by the time they take steps within their jurisdiction in the area of Kosovo and Metohija to stop Kurti in his destructive campaign, all Serbs will either be expelled or arrested, and the Dialogue agreements will be trampled and annulled. If this is what they want and what they are telling us with their passive attitude, let them tell us clearly, said Petkovic.

Members of the Kosovo police this afternoon entered all nine facilities of the Post of Serbia in the four municipalities in northern Kosovo, inhabited by a majority Serb population, it was reported earlier. This was done after the information that they were working without a license and without registration in the Kosovo Business Registration Agency.
