Pesic leaves the bench of the national team after winning bronze in Paris at the Olympic Games. The coach himself confirmed the departure, and one of the main reasons is the change of management.

"The president of KSS, Predrag Danilović, resigned. As I understand it he did it to enable the new management to form a new professional staff and set new goals. When it comes to me, even before Paris I announced that someone else should continue what I started.

Since I see that some have not heard, I am now telling those in charge who will lead KSS in the future that they need to find a new coach. "I will always be at the disposal of Serbian basketball, but I will focus on some other goals and projects for which I did not have time because I was at the service of the national team for 24 hours," said the legendary coach, among other things.

Apart from the bronze in Paris with Serbia, Pesic also managed to win silver at the World Championship, which was played before. At the Olympic Games, Pesic's team came close to celebrating in the match against the American "dream team".

For now, it is not known who could succeed him on the bench of the national team.
