A female nuclear engineer employed by the Directorate for Radiation and Nuclear Safety of Serbia was fired due to posts on Twitter about the Serbian president Aleksandar Vuќi. and the Prime Minister Ana Brnabiќ, writes the weekly "Vreme" today.
As Beta reported, in the dismissal decision, which the journalists of the "Vreme" portal had access to, there are quotes from two tweets with which the nuclear engineer is "unfit to work in a state institution", which she published in 2021.
The decision to resign was signed by the director of the Directorate for Radiation and Nuclear Safety, Sladjan Velinov, and the weekly adds that the information service of the Directorate has been monitoring her tweets for two years.
The newspaper "Vreme" writes that she never criticized the government under her full name, not even during working hours, nor did she mention or comment on the institution where she works.
The chairman of the board of that directorate is Maja Gojkovic, the current minister of culture, and a member of the board is the vice-chairman of the Serbian Assembly, Sandra Božić, both from the presidency of the Serbian Progressive Party.
