The football teams of Brazil and Argentina will play a friendly match on June 11 this year in Melbourne (Australia), he said Minister of Sports in the Government of the State of Victoria.

This match will be played five months before the start of the World Cup in Qatar in 2022.

- We were told that this is an important match for them before the World Cup and both teams are expected to come in the strongest teams - said Victorian Sports Minister Martin Pakula.

The two teams already met on the cricket ground in Melbourne in 2017, when Argentina triumphed in a control match with 1: 0.

Brazil is the leader of the FIFA rankings, and at the World Cup it will play in the "G" group with Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon, while Argentina is in the "C" group with Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland.

The World Cup in Qatar is scheduled for November 21 to December 18, 2022.
