Spasovski: The law on defenders can be adopted if VMRO-DPMNE and ZNAM vote "for"
MP and coordinator of the parliamentary group of the SDSM Oliver Spasovski in today's guest appearance for Alsat news, when asked why the SDSM MPs submitted the proposal for the law on compensation for defenders, he said that because now it is possible to ensure wider support among the MPs, especially that VMRO-DPMNE and ZNAM declaratively declared that they support him.
"VMRO-DPMNE, as the party that takes over the government, declared that it gives absolute support for the implementation of the law, there is also ZNAM, which is part of the government coalition. If that declaratively expressed will is real, the law can be passed and solve all these issues through political dialogue. We gave the Law after a shortened procedure, the Parliament made a statement and now it is on the agenda," said Spasovski in an interview for Alsat M Television.
Asked about the events surrounding the church in Galate, Spasovski said that Taravari should sit down with Mickoski to talk and come to their senses.
Spasovski showed photos showing that VMRO-DPMNE activists and a close associate of Taravari were part of the events.
- This is a photo of the investor, one of Mr. Taravari's closest associates. Here you will see another boy who is part of the management of the local club of VMRO-DPMNE, one of the participants of those events at the church. Here is another picture with the leadership of VMRO-DPMNE. These are the people who were in Galata. I am saying this only to dispel the lies that are being spread to the public that someone else is releasing something. So, Mr. Taravari should sit down with his coalition partner, talk about this topic and come to his senses, said Spasovski.
The member of the SDSM condemned any act that leads to fueling ethnic tensions, especially when it comes to a religious building, he called for dialogue and an institutional solution.
- All of us should work to keep the inter-ethnic relations in the country as the most sacred. This is a country in which everyone should feel equally, said Spasovski.
On the one hand, VMRO-DPMNE and the "defactored DUI" are being attacked, and on the other hand, every other day, a high representative from VMRO-DPMNE will go to the headquarters of DUI in Mala Recica, this does not bring results, said the MP of SDSM.
Regarding the Balancer, Spasovski said that it is not a question for SDSM, but for VMRO-DPMNE and Mickoski.
- They came out and said we are abolishing the balancer. Then they needed support for the Law on Reorganization, they sat down with the "defactored DUI" and said that we will form a committee in the Assembly, so DUI proposed that VMRO-DPMNE coalition and DUI voted for it. To hear now from the Minister of Administration that the balancer is not being abolished. It depends on the promises or lies that were told before the elections, said Spasovski.
