The Macedonian police have the capacity in any conditions to maintain the security and peace and tranquility of the citizens, says the Minister of the Interior, Oliver Spasovski, in response to the question of whether the Ministry of the Interior has the capacity to ensure a peaceful celebration of the anniversary of the birth of Gotse Delchev on February 4. , an event that the Security Council assessed as high-risk.

The citizens, says Spasovski, should not worry at all that all measures will be taken for a dignified celebration, without any disturbance of public order and peace.

- This country has its own institutions that are in charge of preserving public order and peace. Based on the assessments, a plan will be activated that will contribute to peaceful worship. The presence of the police should be to our satisfaction that a peaceful and dignified commemoration will be ensured, and not to be disturbed that there is a police presence. They are the ones who protect us and create an atmosphere in which we all live and work safely - emphasized Minister Spasovski in an interview on MTV this morning.

He also emphasized that the announcements about some kind of "night guards" are simply unacceptable, and the police are the ones who guarantee the safety of the citizens.

- No political party can appropriate someone's character and someone's work. He belongs to the Macedonian people. The only thing that Gotse Delchev deserves is to honor his work with dignity. As a country, we lead a policy of good neighborly relations, there is no dilemma here, but that is why we demand respect and dignity. We do not deviate from those principles. We want to lend a hand to everyone, but we will fiercely oppose if anyone wants to humiliate Macedonia and the Macedonian people, Spasovski is categorical.

The Minister of Internal Affairs once again sent an appeal for a dignified celebration, a message to everyone that each individual bears his personal responsibility for common security, for democratic behavior and that the Macedonian police is fully prepared to provide conditions for a dignified celebration of the anniversary of the birth of Gotse Delchev without any disturbances of public order and peace.
