Spasovski: The institutions should take measures if there really are indications of destabilization of the state
The coordinator of the parliamentary group of the SDSM, Oliver Spasovski, indicated that if there are indeed indications of destabilization of the state in the fall, then the Security Council and the Council for the Coordination of the Security-Intelligence Community should meet as a matter of urgency, but initially the Public Prosecutor's Office should be immediately involved. According to Spasovski, measures must be taken immediately if the territorial integrity, sovereignty, peace and stability of the state are threatened.
He commented on Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski's warning that in the fall he does not expect destabilization of the state, which will be carried out by DUI in order to come to power, he mentioned that if no measures are taken, this will only mean that it is clean politics.
- I think that it is very frivolous for the President of the Government to come out and present such information that destabilization is being prepared, and in addition, that information should be confirmed by the Minister of Internal Affairs, and at the same time, nothing will be done by the state authorities. If it is true, if destabilization, disruption of the constitutional order or anything else that can threaten peace in the country, territorial integrity and sovereignty, health, life of citizens is being prepared, then a crime is being prepared. So it is necessary to react immediately, to arrest those who are preparing this, said Spasovski.
According to Spasovski, the fact that as a country we have not yet constituted a Security Council indicates that there is nothing serious for which the Council should be convened.
-The important thing to mention is that you have not yet constructed a Security Council, and information indicates that you have no intention of convening a Security Council. I guess that indicates that the president has adequate information because she was briefed by the Intelligence Agency and probably from those briefings it is shown that there is nothing serious for which the Security Council should be convened. The second option is that that seriousness may not be realized so they are not called, which I do not believe is the case. Because if we look at the past, we have had a migrant crisis, fires... and VMRO-DPMNE as the opposition always calls for the convening of the Security Council to discuss these issues, adds Spasovski.
Spasovski clarifies that if the warning is true, the institutions should react immediately, otherwise this is just misleading the public.
- If this is true, the institutions should react immediately. There is not a single citizen in Macedonia who cares whether the prime minister or the minister informs us that something allegedly happened. We demand action. If something is happening, take measures to prevent it from happening. Protect the state, protect the citizens, added Spasovski.
