Property owners in "Treska" deny: The properties were legally bought from us, "Chance for Center" manipulates

The owners of properties in the abandoned industrial capacity "Treska" in the municipality of Centar react sharply to, according to them, the presented lies and accusations in the announcement from Chance for Center and the President of the Municipal Council, Jana Belcheva.

"Today they tried to present to the public that our private properties, which we bought in the most legal way, are part of some legal malfeasance and irregularities," said the property owners in "Treska".

Here is their full reaction:

"We completely deny that as owners of private plots, we were 'secretly' sold state land to complete our private properties and it is a complete lie that state land is being sold in 'four eyes'. We demand an immediate apology from Belcheva and "Chance for Center" for such accusations.

Furthermore, it is a lie that 47% of the state-owned land will be sold. We responsibly claim that the state land remains state-owned, and there is another 15% for the completion of the properties and that is done in accordance with the law. Everything else is state-owned and belongs to the part of the streets, sidewalks and other public areas. Why is Belcheva trying to manipulate the real numbers by showing that state property is being "looted"? We have the right and according to the law all we ask is to exercise that right. Additionally, we as property owners in the complex will make a park with a size of over 9.400 square meters, as well as additional green areas of 20%, although they are not provided at all by the current DUP. "Chance for Center" tries to misrepresent all these things in public.

We will not give up something that is guaranteed to us by the Constitution. "Chance for Center" and Belcheva want to deny us the rights to our piece of space. We have been going through Golgotha for three years now and we are suffering huge damages due to Belcheva's political whims. The competition she is referring to is completely invalid and contrary to any law because it does not respect the right to property.

We, as property owners, openly ask whether "Chance for the Center" will take any responsibility before the citizens for any damage if we are not allowed to exercise our right. Our project has been waiting for three years and nothing has moved from a standstill.

We inform the public that as owners of those properties we are preparing a lawsuit for damage in the amount of 50 million euros. Belcheva and the others will have to answer to the citizens how the municipality will reimburse us in case this pressure from them continues.

Finally, do "Shansa za Centar" and Belcheva want the abandoned factory, "Treska", to remain a huge landfill, an environmental bomb in the heart of the Municipality for many years to come? Under the guise of "civic activism", pretending to represent the interests of the residents of Centar, we are witnessing as "Chance for Centar" instead of offering solutions to problems, they are brakers. Until when will they build political careers with blockades without solutions?

We appeal to Mayor Gerasimovski that we will not tolerate more blockades and that we will seek our rights before the courts if the illegal obstructions continue. "We demand that the requests for completion of the plots that are legally due to us be completed as soon as possible and that the problem that does not benefit anyone except those who want to profit politically from it be resolved," reads the reaction of property owners in " Fever".
