Leakage from Severen Potok gas pipeline stopped

The pressure in the "Nord Stream 2" gas pipeline has been stabilized and there is no gas left in the pipe, the Danish Energy Agency announced today, referring to the operator of the "Nord Stream 2 AG" gas pipeline.

- The Severni Potok AG company informed the Energy Agency that the pressure on the Severni Potok 2 gas pipeline has stabilized, which indicates the cessation of the leakage - the announcement states.

Earlier in the week, several explosions damaged the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines that transport gas from Russia to Europe. The explosions hit parts of the pipeline in Danish waters not far from the island of Bornholm.

Swedish and Danish authorities announced that they had found two gas leaks and agreed that it was sabotage.
