"Death to my dream": Gisele Bundchen spoke for the first time about the divorce with Tom Brady

Last year, the world public was surprised by the news that the Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen and the NFL player Tom Brady, are divorcing after 12 years of marriage. After weeks of speculation about their relationship, Gisele and Tom confirmed in official statements in October that their love had come to an end and added that they would continue to care for the children together.

The former spouses have not been seen in the same place since then, but they did not say bad things about each other and, moreover, they normally communicate on social networks, so Gisele congratulated Tom on his sports retirement.

The model has now given an interview to Vanity Fair in which she spoke candidly about the breakdown of her marriage to Brady, after which she says she was devastated.
She called the divorce "the death of her dream" and added:
"It's hard because you imagine what your life is going to be like and you do the best you can, you know?" I believed in fairy tales when I was little. I think it's nice to believe that and I'm grateful that I did… You do your best to make that dream come true. You give 100 percent of yourself, and then it breaks your heart when it doesn't end the way you hoped, but you can only give your best," Gisele said.

Before marrying Tom Brady, Gisele traveled all over the world as the highest paid and most successful model on the planet, but she never set foot in the place she later moved to because of him. It's Tampa, the Florida city where Brady played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“When we moved to Tampa, I had never actually been there before. I just arrived and I knew - that was my life," she told Vanity Fair.
She recalled how she gave her husband baths with flowers to relax him after hard training and competitions, that she gave him crystals and stones for protection and self-healing. She added that she didn't divorce Brady because he didn't want to retire for the sake of his family, nor because of his alleged support for Donald Trump, when she saw a hat with Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan in his locker.

Gisele also addressed her relationship with Joaquim Valente, the jiu-jitsu instructor she was linked to in the media after the divorce, pointing out that he is someone she trusts, as is his entire family.
"He is our teacher and, most importantly, a person whom I admire and trust," she explained.
The model also added that Costa Rica is the place where she spends the most time and where she would like to raise her children – son Benjamin (13) and daughter Vivian (10).
"My dream is for my children to grow up here. I didn't get to be here as much as I wanted, so now I wear them often. If I never see any city again, I would be completely happy," said Giselle.

“I'm just a simple girl who loves nature, leave me alone. I just want to do my job and raise my children in peace" - she concluded.
