The Macedonian authorities once again did not respect the established rotation for the presence of the highest state representatives at international events. Thus, this year the President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova will participate in the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, which will last until September 28, although according to the order, the Prime Minister of the country should be present there, in this case Hristijan Mickoski.
At the General Assembly, the delegation is usually headed by either the President of the State or the Prime Minister, and they rotate each year. Last year, the President Stevo Pendarovski participated in the 78th General Assembly, who addressed the General Debate. But this year the order was "broken".
Siljanovska-Davkova's office confirmed that she will go to New York.
- True, according to the rotation, it is not her turn to participate in the General Assembly. However, in coordination with the Government, the president will lead the Macedonian delegation - her office told "Sloboden Pechat".
